Make a contract and turn your Android smartphone into a Magical Girl!

Is there something your android smart phone wants so badly that they would be willing to dedicate their lives to fighting witches* for? Unfortunately, your smartphone’s karmic destiny isn’t enough to warrant a restructure of the universe, but it can still be kitted out just like a Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magical Girl and instead of turning its soul into a Soul Gem (do phones even have souls?), all it costs is £8 ($12 in America)!

With the official Puella Magi Madoka Magica fone application, you can transform the look of your Android smartphone into one based on a particular Magical Girl from the anime (at time of writing, only Madoka Kaname is available, but applications based on Sayaka Miki, Kyoko Sakura, Mami Tomoe and Homura Akemi have been promised). This application not only changes the look of your phone, but it adds some nifty aesthetic features, like being able to shoot Kyubey as you use the calculator and have the app’s Magical Girl read out numbers as you dial them and some even cooler ones too – such as an encyclopaedia of witches, a gallery of memorable scenes and voice samples, as well as a “Witch Mode”

Once certain conditions have been met, a witch’s kiss will appear on the phones screen and pressing it will plunge your phone into a witch’s labyrinth. While trapped in the labyrinth, you will have to defeat the witch’s familiars and then finally, the witch herself to obtain her Grief Seed and return to normal mode.

If you wish to turn your compatible Android smartphone into a magical girl with the Madoka Kaname application, you can from the Google Play Store for £8/$12! More information is also available from the official website.
