It has been some time since FUNimation and MangaUK waged their war on pants with their releases of the two Strike Witches anime seasons in North America and the United Kingdom respectively, which might have left many fans of the very alternate take on World War 2 feeling that perhaps the battle was over. However, this has since proven to be but a temporary period of peace, as the War on Pants will be taken to the Seven Seas as the manga publisher Seven Seas (sea what I did there? And did you see what I did there? :P) have put on their Striker Units and announced a wealthy stream of Strike Witches manga goodness that will last us to the beginning of 2015! Personally, I absolutely adore Strike Witches, so I welcome this news very much! (Maybe I should write a feature soon to celebrate this?). Anyways everynyan, the announced titles are:
Strike Witches: The Sky That Connects Us, a one-volume manga by Humikane Shimada and Shin Kyōgoku was the first new title announced, with a release date slated for 17th June, 2014.
Strike Witches: 1937 Fuso Sea Incident was the second title announced. This two volume series by Projekt Kagonish and Humikane Shimada will have the first of its two volumes published on 19th August, 2014.
Strike Witches: One-Winged Witches was the third and final title announced today. Atsuto Shinozuka’s two volume manga will have its first volume released on 6th January, 2015.
For those of you who can’t wait to get back into the skies, Seven Seas will also be releasing volume 1 of the previously announced Strike Witches: Maidens in the Sky manga on 18th February, 2014.
