Name: Danganronpa – Trigger Happy Havoc
Platform: PlayStation Vita

Have you heard of the recent phenomenon that is Danganronpa? It kind of hit the internet like a freak tidal wave due to a fan translation of a playthrough of the first game, which was released for the PSP in Japan in 2010. A 2013 TV anime adaptation only helped increase the series’ popularity, so it is no surprise that NIS America picked up the PS Vita remastered version for localisation.
Danganronpa is a murder mystery that takes place in Hope’s Peak Academy, an illustrious academy reserved only for Japan’s elite. Main character Makoto Naegi is dubbed “Ultimate Lucky Student” after being offered an invitation despite him having no remarkable skills to speak of. However, is this good luck or bad luck? Naegi soon discovers which when the school’s headmaster, the black-and-white Monokuma informs the students that they are trapped within the school and there is only way to guarantee your release – to kill someone and avoid getting found out! However, if the group fails to correctly identify a culprit, then the killer will walk free while the others are killed.
NIS America has confirmed today that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will be released exclusively on the PlayStation Vita in North America on 11th February 2014, followed by a European release on 14th February – nothing says “Happy Valentine’s Day” more than high school students killing each other!
